One man armed with a typewriter, borrowed photocopier and 1000s of stamps decides to take action against homophobic Britain’s institutions. Austin Allen founds SPAN, The Stonewall Postal Action Network. It quickly becomes the largest LGBT activist group years before the dawn of the internet.
