
Sarah Elizabeth Drummond is a Scottish writer and director, who founded film production and creative studio Anthro Bricolage. She was selected for BAFTA x British Film Institute Flare Programme after her debut short film, Stonewall Postal Action Network debuted in 4 continents and BAFTA qualifying film festivals.
She is currently directing Don’t Say Gay, her debut feature documentary about the law Section 28 which banned the promotion of homosexuality from 1988-2003 and developing shorts including Lesbus, a short documentary about the world’s first lesbian removal company.
She was selected for the New Writers Network 2025 to develop her short Tamed, a queer folk horror set in Devon. She is currently developing The Waiting Room, a short exploring a couple’s journey navigating gender affirming care and the uncertainty in their relationship.
Prior to film, Sarah was a designer, and co-founded and scaled one of the UK’s largest Service Design agencies. In recognition of her work she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Glasgow School of Art and a Google Fellowship for technology and democratic innovation.
